6.12 News Story Communities & Media Outlets


When you create an news story, depending on whether you send a Standard News Story or a Targeted News Story, your distribution will be tailored.

If you choose to send a Standard News Story, your can choose industry specific communities to post your content to.

Standard News Story (Industry Communities):

  • Select Communities (Free) at the select audience stage.
  • Select Next.
  • At the distribution stage, select up to 3 industry communities from those recommended.
  • The select button will turn orange.
  • When you publish you news story, it will be posted into your chosen industry communities.

If you choose to send a Targeted News Story to targeted audiences using a credit with your monthly allowance, relevant media outlets will be suggested to you.

Targeted News Story (Industry Communities & Media Outlets):

  • Select Targeted Audiences (Use a Credit) at the select audience stage.
  • Select Next.
  • A list of media outlets relevant to your content will be displayed, sending content to these media outlets is optional.
  • There is no limit to the number of media outlets that can be selected.
  • You can also search additional media outlets using the media outlet search.
  • Select View to see the media outlet profile.

You can send your content to media outlets by emailing them or tweeting them. Your Twitter account must be authenticated and connected with your reveela account in order to tweet media outlets. 

To authenticate your Twitter account when you are creating a news story:

  • When creating a news story, at the Distribution stage select "Connect Twitter" on the side menu bar above the Media Outlet Search.
  • Make sure you are logged into the relevant Twitter account and select Authorize App.
  • You will be redirected to My Account.
  • Your Twitter account will now be connected with your reveela account.     
  • You will be redirected back to the news story editor to continue posting your content.
  • You can now send content to Media and Press Outlets.   

You can also manage your Twitter account authentication at any time from My Profile & My Account.

To send content via Tweet to Media Outlets when your Twitter account is authenticated:

  • Select Tweet next to your chosen media outlets.
  • Select Next.
  • Select Publish.
  • A Tweet will be sent to the selected media outlets.
