16.2 Topic Maps

Reveela's topic maps tool allows you create content structure flowcharts that guide you on how to strategically organise and connect the content on your website. These topic maps break down your main pillar topic into topics and subtopics. Creating different content around these topics and subtopics will build relevance between all the content on your website and enhance your visibility in search engines.

To access the Topics Maps tool:

  • Select Research Hub from the main menu navigation bar.
  • You will be directed to Trending section in the Research Hub.
  • Select Topic Map from the menu.

To create a Topic Map:

  • Enter a main topic into the search box and select Search.
  • Your topic map will be generated with 5 topics and each topic will have 5 subtopics.

These maps can be saved if you want to reference them later when creating and connecting content on your website.

To save a Topic Map:

  • Search for the main topic you want to create the map around.
  • At the bottom of the screen, select Save Map.
  • Your Topic Map will appear in the 'Saved Topic Maps' list at the bottom of the page.

After saving a topic map, you will be able to create a content checklist. This checklist can be used to create content for each topic in the map on your website. Once you have created the content, you can mark it as complete in the list and then paste the URL below it for reference.

To complete your Topic Map checklist:

  • Create content around one of the topics in the map on your website.
  • Select the checkbox next to the topic once it is complete and a green tick will appear.
  • Paste the URL of the content from your website into the space below the checkbox.

Using these checklists helps streamline the content creation on your website and allows you to review and access the content all in one place. Reveela's topic maps ensure there is a comprehensive coverage of key themes across the content on your website, ultimately boosting search visibility for your website and therefore user engagement.
