16.3 Explore News Coverage


Reveela's explore tool allows you to analyse news coverage and online engagement for specific topics in your industry. You can also compare multiple topics to identify the areas with the most online interest so you can then write about them in your content at the right time .


To access the Explore tool: 

  • Select Research Hub from the main menu navigation bar.
  • You will be directed to Trending section in the Research Hub.
  • Select Explore from the menu.

To perform a search: 

  • Enter a main topic into the search box and select Search.
  • The results for your topic will be displayed including.
  • You can also filter news coverage by country or by the time period using the country and time period filter dropdowns.

If you are looking to compare multiple keywords or topics, you can compare a maximum of 4.


To compare multiple topics: 

  • Enter a main topic into the search box.
  • Select the Compare button and a new search box will appear for you to add another topic.
  • Add a maximum of 4 topics and select Search.

The data provided from each search includes:

  • Online News Coverage: News coverage for your topic over the selected period helping you see how coverage and popularity has changed over time.
  • Online News Sentiment: Average sentiment of matching news for your selected period.
  • Web Interest: Google search volume data for your topic over the selected period, highlighting how interest has changed over time.
  • Web Interest by Region: An analysis of search volume for your topic during the chosen timeframe, categorised by region within the selected country.
  • News Coverage: A selection of articles published around your topic over the last 3 months, you can also filter this by sentence, relevance and by domain.

Monitoring news coverage allows you to get ahead on timely, high-search volume topics, enabling you to create relevant content that aligns with current user interests in your industry. Understanding news trends is crucial in crafting newsworthy content that's more likely to earn backlinks from reputable sources, further strengthening your SEO efforts.
