17.6 Adding Media to Social Posts

Reveela allows you to add images and videos to your social media posts using a range of media tools. You can upload your own files, source royalty-free media, create or change images with AI, or import designs from Canva.

The Media section is available below the post creation box in Create Post.

To access the Media section:

Select Socials from your dashboard.
You will be directed to the Create Post section.
Go to the Media section below the post creation box.

From here, you can choose how you want to add media:

Upload Media – upload your own images or videos from your device.
Source Media – search for royalty-free images and videos from Pixabay.
AI Image Creator – create new images or combine, change and enhance existing images using AI.
Canva – create and import designs from Canva.

Uploading Media to Social Posts

You can upload your own images and videos directly from your device.

To upload media:

Select the Upload Media icon.
Select the files you want to upload from your device, then select Open.
Your uploaded media will appear in the Media section.

Managing Media in Social Posts

Once media has been added to your post, you can choose which social platforms it will be used on or remove it from your post. This applies to media added using any of Reveela's media options.

Use the dropdown on each media item to choose which connected social media platforms it will be published to.
To remove an image or video, select the X icon on the media item.

Sourcing Royalty-Free Media for Social Posts

Reveela allows you to search and add royalty-free images and videos from Pixabay directly to your posts.

To source royalty-free media from Pixabay:

Select the Source Media icon.
Use the search box to enter keywords and find relevant images or videos.
Select the images or videos you want to use. Selected items will display a checkmark.
When you are happy with your selection, select Use Image or Use Video, depending on the type of media selected.
Your selected media will appear in the Media section.

Creating or Changing Images with AI for Social Posts

Reveela's AI Image Creator allows you to generate new images from a text description or use AI to combine, change and enhance existing images.

Creating a New Image

To create an image with AI:

Select the AI Image Creator icon.
You will be directed to the Create New tab.
Enter a detailed description of the image you would like to create.
Select Create Image.
Your image will be generated.
Select Regenerate to create another version of the image.
Select Refine to make changes to the image.
Select Download to save the image to your device, or Add to Post to add it directly to your post.

Combining or Changing Existing Images

You can also upload existing images and use AI to combine, adapt or enhance them.

To combine or change images with AI:

Select the AI Image Creator icon.
Select the Change Existing tab.
Upload the image or images you would like to combine, edit or enhance.
Enter a description explaining the changes you would like to make, for example, Add this logo to this mug image.
Select Create Image.
Your image will be generated.
Select Regenerate to create another version of the image.
Select Refine to make changes to the image.
Select Download to save the image to your device, or Add to Post to add it directly to your post.

Importing Canva Designs for Social Posts

You can connect your Canva account to create and import custom designs directly into Reveela.

To import a Canva design:

Select the Canva icon.
Select Connect Canva and complete Canva's authentication process.
Back in Reveela, select Create New Design and choose the size you would like to create.
Canva will open in a new browser tab where you can create your design.
When you are ready to use your design, close the Canva tab to return to Reveela.
A preview thumbnail of your design will appear.
Select Use Design as Image or Use Design as Video, depending on the type of design you created.
Your Canva design will appear in the Media section ready to use in your post.

Please note: Thumbnail previews for Canva designs may take a short time to update after importing. During this time, your design can still be selected and used in Reveela.
