17.8 Social Media Post Errors
If your social media posts are showing up in the Error section, there could be a variety of reasons behind this. Here are some frequent issues and suggested ways to address them:
Expired Authorisation Tokens
- Error: We’re unable to publish your posts because your your social media account has disconnected, most likely due to an expired authorisation token.
- Fix: Try reconnecting your account and grant the necessary permissions. This should allow us to resume posting on your behalf.
Violation of Platforms Policies
- Error: Your post may include content that goes against the platform’s guidelines, such as prohibited language or copyright issues. As a result, publishing may be blocked or restricted. Always check the platform’s rules to ensure your content meets their standards.
- Fix: Check the platform’s terms and conditions and adjust your content accordingly to ensure compliance.
Unsupported Media Types or Incorrect File Sizes
- Error: Your post may contain media that isn’t supported or is too large for certain platforms.
- Fix: Refer to the platform’s FAQ for image specifications, then adjust your file sizes or formats to meet those requirements.
Duplicate Twitter Posts
- Error: Posting the same content to multiple Twitter accounts at once can cause errors or restrictions, as Twitter blocks duplicate posts to prevent spam.
- Fix: Try to customise your posts for each account by changing the text, images, or hashtags.
