17.8 Creating a Social Media Content Plan

Reveela's Content Plan tool helps you create an organised one-week social media campaign around your business, services, promotions, launches or other marketing activity.

Tell Reveela what you want to promote and what you want to achieve, and it will create a series of social media posts with guidance to help you deliver the campaign.

Accessing the Content Plan Tool

To access the Content Plan tool:

  • Select Socials from your dashboard.
  • You will be directed to Create.
  • Select Content Plan from the menu at the top right of the page.

You can also access Content Plan from the shortcut menu in the Planner.

Creating your Content Plan

Before creating your plan, select the accounts or Brand Groups you want to create content for.

If you select a brand group, Reveela can use its saved brand information, including your audience and tone of voice. You can change these details for an individual campaign if you want to target a different audience or use a different tone.

If you don't select a Brand Group, you'll need to provide the relevant brand information when creating your plan.

To create a content plan:

  • Enter a Plan Name to identify your campaign.
  • In Tell us about your business, services, audience and goals, provide as much relevant information as possible. This could include what your business does, who you want to reach, where you operate, the products or services you want to promote, upcoming events, launches or offers, and what you want the campaign to achieve.
  • Select up to three Goals for your campaign.
  • Select up to three areas of Focus.
  • Choose your Post Frequency to control how often you want content to be posted during the plan.
  • Select an Approach for the campaign.
  • If needed, select More options to provide additional direction, such as calls to action or anything you want the content to avoid.
  • Select Create Plan.

Reviewing your Content Plan

Once generated, the posts from your content plan are automatically added to the Planner, where you can review and customise them before publishing or scheduling.

  • The Source column will show the campaign name, making it easy to identify which posts belong to the plan.
  • The Content Direction for each post provides additional campaign guidance, which can include the purpose or direction of the post, suggested posting day and media tips.

From the Planner, you can edit and customise individual posts, add media, set schedule dates and resolve any issues before marking your content as Ready.
